As Christians, fasting and praying are activities that should become a part of us, so we can do them conviniently. Scriptures told us to pray without ceasing. Also remember the incident that occurred during the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ on earth, when His disciples tried in vain to perform a miracle, and He told them such can only happen via fasting and prayer.

Fasting and prayer are indeed spiritual activities we must not take with levity, for we can achieve a lot with them.

Paul Enenche has given various sermons about fastings and praying, and we are going to see one of them here, which he titled “The Power Of Fasting In Dissolving Mysteries”

The Memory Scripture was taken from the book of Acts of Apostles 10:10, which says: “And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance”, and it started by stating how fasting has the capacity to open one’s eyes in the spirit to see the mysteries around one’s life.

According to the Pastor, fasting is actually one of the strongest weapons of a Christian, and our LORD Jesus Christ even defeated the Devil in the wilderness by the power of fasting and the Word (Matthew 4:1-4).

The activity puts a Christian on the fast lane in life, and to fast “is to last.”

Then, he made it known that one of the powers of fasting is the dissolution of mysteries.

“Fasting is a confirmation of desperation; fasting intensifies your desire and prayer fire. If you have prayed for a mystery to be dissolved and it seems that the situation remains unchanged, the only way you can enforce change is to embark on a fast.”

Now going into how fasting dissolve mysteries, Pastor Paul Enenche stated:

“It is by connecting us to the frequency of revelations. Fasting is a secret of receiving insights to dissolve the mysteries of life.

Beloved, whenever you fast, you are positioned in the realm where God can give you the direction to dissolve the mysteries of your life. Fasting makes your light to break forth (Isaiah 58:6, 8). Fasting has the capacity to open your eyes in the spirit to see the mysteries around your life.

Beloved, my counsel is: embark on periodic fasts to break the mysteries around your life.

Remember this: Fasting has the capacity to open your eyes in the spirit to see the mysteries around your life.”

 

After giving assignments (which is that Christians should embark on periodic fasts and pray adequately in the spirit as we fast), he also made a Prayer point, which is: O LORD, give me a strong appetite for periodic prayer and fasting for the dissolution of the mysteries around my life.

In conclusion, the Pastor also admonished readers to get the message titled: UNVEILING THE MYSTERIES OF LIFE for further understanding.

In addition, let us ensure we discipline ourselves accordingly to the stage where fastings and prayers become part of us. These spiritual activities are so beneficial.
