MESSAGE TOPIC: DIMENSIONS OF DEDICATION (1&2) By: Dr Paul Enenche

SERVICE OBJECTIVE(S): Understanding the various departments/dimensions where our dedication to God is measured
What makes a child of God is it church attendance?
DIMENSIONS OF DEDICATION:
1. Personal devotional life of prayer and Word study (Gen. 19:27; Ps. 55:17; 1 Thess. 5:17; Job 23:12; Matt. 4:4; Acts 17:11)
2. A God-glorifying (God-pleasing) lifestyle (Matt. 5:14, 16; 1 Pet. 2:9; Matt. 16:13)
You can’t claim to be a Christian without being concerned as to what people think about you
The closest people to you are the people who can confirm who and what you are
3. Soul-winning lifestyle (John 15:16; Mark 16:15-17; Acts 1:8)
Part of your life as a child of God is to go forth and bring fruit and your fruit shall remain
The Christian man and woman who cannot tell people about their faith in God, then something is wrong with the reality of that faith
If we want to see the results of the Bible, we must return to the practices of the Bible
4. Prayer for the shepherd (Eph. 6:18-19; 2 Thess. 3:1-2; 1 Cor. 16:9)
Dedicated people are concerned with the spiritual state of the one they follow
If you are going to the restaurant to eat, you must be interested in the health state and wellbeing of the caterer
If you are going on a flight, you must be interested in the health state of the pilot
5. Passion for the House of the Lord (Ps. 122:1; 27:4; Heb. 10:25)
If you are not glad to go into the House of the Lord, then something is wrong.
The house of your friend is never too far
No manner of contract should be big enough to take you from church
Don’t let this modern day internet – social media etc. destroy your spirituality (Ps. 84:7)
6. The lifestyle of giving (Gen. 8:22; Lev. 27:30; Gen. 14:18-20; Mal. 3:10; Heb. 7:7-8; 2 Cor. 9:6; Phil. 4:15)
The giving begins with tithing
Every lover is a giver
Every love that does not give is fake
Your dedication is confirmable by your liberality towards God
7. Love for the brethren (John 13:34-35; 15:12; 1 John 4:7-8, 20; Phil. 2:2-4)
You cannot claim to love God and hate His children
Your commitment to God is your commitment to His Own
Let us be real; let our spirituality be real
Life is too short for us to use it to make enemies
8. Routine consecrational fasting (Matt. 6:17-18; Isa. 40:31; 2 Cor. 11:27)
Fasting is not a matter of “IF” it is a matter of “WHEN”
9. Kingdom representation existence (John 17:18; 20:21; 2 Cor. 5:20; Phil. 1:21; Esther 4:16; Dan. 6:10; John 19:38; 1 Kings 17:1; 1 Sam. 17:26; )
Every child of God should consider themselves as the representative of heaven in their realm
It is not worth living if it is not for Christ
Who you represent determines who responds to you
10. Soul winning/revival intercession –Kingdom advancement prayer (Matt. 6:9-10; Gal. 4:19)
If you want God to hear and answer your prayer for bread, pray for the Kingdom first
Baby Christians are always looking for what to GET while matured Christians are always looking for what to GIVE
Don’t remember your need until you remember the Kingdom’s needs (Matt. 6:33)
11. Prayer for the brethren (Eph. 6:18; Jam. 5:16; Job 42:10)

THE NECESSARY PRAYERS WE SHOULD PRAY:

1. Prayer for the shepherd
2. Kingdom advancement intercession
3. Prayer for the brethren
12. Service in the House (Exo. 23:25; Ps. 84:10; Matt. 4:10)
Every dedicated child of God is passionate to do something in God’s House (Exo. 23:25)
Service is a language of LOVE; LOVE serves!
If your own love for God does not cause you the passion to serve, then your passion is questionable
Anywhere you can serve, serve as long as love is there.
Don’t be an executive Christian, be a practical Christian
Serve until the devil bears you witness that you served
13. The lifestyle of sacrifice (1 Kings 3:3-11; Ps. 132:1-5; Luke 7:1-5; Acts 4:34-35)
i. Sacrifice is giving in inconvenience
ii. Sacrifice is extra mile giving
iii. Sacrifice is giving that may be uncomfortable but done because there is love (1 Kings 3:3-5)
Your spirituality is not fully confirmed until God makes demand on you and you are fully available
14. Love and care for the needy (Matt. 25:41-46; Jam. 1:27; Gal. 6:10; Prov. 19:17)
What we do with those in need is prove of our commitment and dedication
The authenticity of your spirituality is confirmed when you care for those in need
