TOPIC: FAITH – SEEING BEYOND THE IMMEDIATE
SCRIPTURE: By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible. Hebrews 11:27
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Faith is seeing beyond the immediate to the ultimate.
Sometime ago, someone asked me, ‘When you were stepping into Ministry, what plan did you have just in case the Ministry didn’t work?’ I said, there was no such plan because that was practically out of the picture. The truth is, anywhere you see God, ask Him. “O God, this your boy, Paul, did it ever cross his mind one day that Ministry would not work?” The answer is “NO” because there was no thought like that; not even in the dream.
The Ministry over-worked before we started. I saw the outcome from the outset. I knew we would preach to crowds around the world. We started running five services at the Area 1 church when the three services were not yet filled. The first service was filled to under the gallery, the second service was filled up to the gallery, and the third service was just halfway filled. I announced five services because God said it. Then, I had scriptures to charge it. All the services were filled to the brim except the last service. The five services continued until we started six services with overflows.
Faith is seeing the outcome from the outset through the Word of God. It is seeing the realities of the invisible beyond the uncertainties of the visible. Faith is seeing beyond the immediate to the ultimate. It is being convinced of what is yet to be seen (2Corinthians 4:17-18, Hebrews 11:27).
Beloved, if you can see it ahead, no devil can stop you here. Look beyond the immediate. Don’t allow the situations around you define your life; let the Word of God define your life.
Remember this: Faith is seeing beyond the immediate to the ultimate.
