TEXT: JEREMIAH 6:16-17 “Thus says the Lord, stand in the ways and see and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it;
Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, “we will not walk in it”.
“Also, I set watchmen over you, saying,
‘Listen to the sound of trumpet!’ But they said, ‘we will not listen!”.
OBJECTIVES;
The objective of this message is to understand the things that hinder people from receiving or hearing from God.
No3#- Over busyness in life is an enemy and a hindrance to receiving from God.
Psalm 46:10, Are you too much ina hurry? There are people out there who have lives that are quite running in too many Directions. Their thoughts are centered on a thousand things all at once.
These would find it very difficult to receive anything from God. “Be still and know” literally means “there is knowledge in stillness, in calmness”.
Men or women that are always busy with almost everything needs to know that they have to slow down to know that “I Am God”, what is the meaning of this?
It simply means there is a time to shut down all other activities and concentrate or focus only on God, Daniel 9:2-3, Mark 1:35, John 15:16.
You’re not made for business, business was made for you, so be Still.
No4#- Impatience with God.
Many are impatient with God and that is why they don’t receive from Him. Their spirit are always in haste Psalm 46:10, Isaiah 28:16.
When you believe , you don’t make haste. Many people thinks that God is “too slow”. But do you know that, that is a process whereby you must go through to have a solid stand with God that will mark your generation (which is quite demanding)?, 1Samuel 13:10.
Waiting on God is not wastage of life, neither is it wastage of time. Waiting on God is salvaging of life and destiny. Don’t move because of mass movement.
It may affect your destiny negatively.
Don’t ever become impatient because of other people’s results or experiences, don’t ever become impatient, wait on God.

Summary 1#
Waiting on God will give you a speed that human effort can’t give. Moving with God gives you nothing to lose and the devil would have gained nothing.
No5#- Existence in assumption and tradition.
Assuming, that the same pattern could work over and over again. While Tradition is; this is how everyone does this, I’ll do it too that way, 1 chronicles 14:14. For Every new situation, there may be a new revelation. So if you are married to tradition, you will deliver frustration.

God is too dynamic for us to categorize Him or classify or cage His operations, John 3:8. Every child of God and of the Spirit is meant to be the child of the wind, easily movable by God, Directed by God and not fixed but flexible to do His will.
May the Lord help you to do His will in JESUS name! Amen.
