TOPIC: THE NECESSITY OF INSTRUCTION
SCRIPTURE: And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias: Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.
Luke 9:30-31.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The strength of your instruction or direction determines the quality of your destiny.
It has been confirmed that the strength of your instruction or direction determines the quality of your destiny.
You know, as anointed as Jesus, the Son of God, born of a virgin was, He sat amongst doctors of the law in the temple, both hearing and asking them questions (Luke 2:46). He was not too big to be instructed.
Also, at the Mountain of Transfiguration, Moses and Elijah appeared and instructed Him (Matthew 17:3). They were instructing Him about what was ahead of Him. In essence, they gave Him direction.
Luke 9:30-31 says,
And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias: Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.
They seemed to have told Him, “You are about to die, and this is how to go about it. These are the details. These are the things you will expect and the way to handle them.”
That was the Son of God being instructed by two principal Old Testament prophets, Moses and Elijah. Do you know that Jesus created Moses and Elijah? Jesus is God but because He came to the earth as man, He had to pass through the protocol of the earth and be instructed as a man. As a man, he needed to be instructed. He faithfully went through the experiences of the Cross at Calvary and succeeded.
Beloved, where are you going in life and how do you think you can get there without being strongly instructed?
My counsel is, settle down in church to be instructed and guided. Don’t be a church shopper. Follow God’s instruction to you through your pastor. Quality instructions are necessary for life and destiny fulfilment. I see you succeeding in life.
Remember this: The strength of your instruction or direction determines the quality of your destiny.

1. Refuse to neglect instructions given by God directly or via His channels.
2. Make up your mind to take responsibility in obeying Divine Instructions.
PRAYER: Lord, I ask for spiritual sensitivity to know when You speak to me. I receive the grace to obey Your Instructions, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
