TOPIC: SPIRITUAL CAPSULES FOR SURVIVAL IN DANGEROUS TIMES.
SCRIPTURE: A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Psalm 91:7-8.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Do not leave your chest open and unprotected spiritually; shield it with revelation.
Beloved, you are welcome to the month of December, the last month of the year. Indeed, God has been faithful to us from the beginning of this year: He has placed us in charge in many realms as He assured us at the beginning of the year. We cannot recount all the blessings and help of God because they are more than we can number. To God be all the glory!
As we draw the curtain on this year in transition into another glorious year, it is crucial to note that one of the characteristics of the last days is the multiplication of wickedness. It is also obvious that towards the end of the year like this, desperate and wicked people tend to amplify their wickedness.
But they will not locate you.
So, in today’s study, we shall be exploring Divine secrets of safety in dangerous times so we can live in triumph and put the devil where he belongs.
Now, how do we survive dangerous times? What are the secrets of safety and Divine preservation?
- Dwell in the secret place of the Most-High (Psalm 91:1). The Presence of God is the secret of safety. Nearness to God is distance from danger and distance from God equals nearness to disaster.

Be shielded by the truth of God’s Word (Psalm 91:4, Psalm 105:15, 1 Peter 3:13). Psalm 91:4 says, His truth shall be thy shield and buckler. And what is the truth? The truth is the Word of God (John 17:17). Do not leave your chest open and unprotected spiritually; shield it with revelation.

Resist fear absolutely. Fear is the magnet of disaster (Job 3:25-26). And fear is the eternal enemy of faith. The devil who is called the roaring lion fears those who don’t fear him and preys on those who fear him.

Consistently declare the Word (1Samuel 17:34-37, Numbers 14:28, Isaiah 44:26).
One of our brethren in church testified of how God preserved his life from destruction. His wife gave birth during that period. On his way to his house, he saw a vehicle following him. He thought they were policemen but the more he moved, the more they advanced towards him.
When he approached the gate of his house trying to honk for the security man to open the gate, the vehicle still followed. So, he told the security man not to open the gate. While he was in front of his gate, the people came out of their car, went straight for him with their guns. He looked at them, wound up his glass and made some brutal declarations.
They started shooting, but the guns failed. So, he reversed, passed through the midst of them and went his way.
Beloved, death and life is in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21). -
Maintain spiritual sensitivity and submit yourself to Divine guidance. Any journey or step you are about to take, and you lose your peace, hold on. Do not force yourself in any direction where there seems to be too much resistance. Direction is confirmed by peace; if God is involved, there will be peace (Psalm 85:8).

Accept spiritual responsibility. The acceptance of spiritual responsibility is critical for Divine preservation. No one, apart from God, can watch over your life or help you like yourself. Be watchful, wakeful, and alert. Refuse to live carelessly and casually.
Those who live casually die as casualties, so be observant and watchful.
Remember this: Do not leave your chest open and unprotected spiritually; shield it with revelation.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Take a fast and pray when you sense the leading; take nothing for granted.
2. Never allow the enemy to go un-replied because God moves with His Word.
3. Take advantage of the Holy Communion (Acts 2:46-47), and the anointing oil daily (Psalm 92:10)
PRAYER: Lord, thank You for being my shield and defence. I trust You, Lord for preservation. No weapon formed against me shall prosper, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
