TOPIC: WHAT TRANSACTIONS ARE YOU MAKING?
SCRIPTURE: For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. GALATIANS 6:8.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The way you live determines the way you end in life and eternity.
It is important to note that the world is said to be a market where transactions are made.
For instance, to take in oxygen, a person must give out carbon dioxide.
In the same manner, every single action of a person attracts a corresponding outcome as exchange. It may be a loss or a gain, in time or in eternity. There is nothing like something for nothing.
So, life is all about transactions.
In Genesis 38:1-7, Judah met a harlot, and he said, I will send thee a kid from the flock. And she said, Wilt thou give me a pledge, till thou send it? And he said, What pledge shall I give thee? And she said, Thy signet, and thy bracelets, and thy staff that is in thine hand. And he gave it her, and came in unto her, and she conceived by him.
She said, “I demand for your bracelets, signet, and staff.”
Beloved, every time you sit down for iniquity, it makes demands on your life. The signet ring in the olden days represented signature, a sort of legal mandate. When Judah gave the harlot his signet, he seemed to have said to her, “You can make withdrawals from my life, from the blessing deposited in my life.” The bracelet is the symbol of wealth and prosperity.
The altar of iniquity is the altar of the wastage of wealth. And the staff represents authority and power. Judah gave a woman his authority.
So Judah parted with his mandate, wealth, power, and authority on the platform of iniquity. You must understand that iniquity undermines spiritual authority. You do not have a voice to speak in the world of the spirit if your conscience is not clear.
My counsel is, at every point in your life, ensure that what you give out is equal to what you get in every transaction. Ensure that you are not losing more than you are gaining like Esau who made a disastrous transaction.
