THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your life becomes a center of fire when you engage (or pray into) the Holy Spirit.

Some time ago, a pastor came to me and said, “Sir, please it seems my (spiritual) fire has diminished” I told him I was gonna prescribe him a treat

So I asked her to take a three-day prayer and fasting program (without food), and pray an average of five to seven hours a day.

I also told him to read the entire Book of Acts during the three days of prayer and fasting. At the end of the three days, he had to come back to tell me if he was still not on fire (or on fire for God). This is the kind of exercise to do when your spiritual temperature drops.

Beloved, the Holy Spirit helps us to operate and pray with fire; Your life becomes a center of fire when you engage (or pray into) the Holy Spirit.

Romans 8:26 says, “In the same way the Spirit also helps our infirmities: for we do not know what we ought to ask in our prayers.” But the Spirit itself intercedes through unspeakable prayers and sighs.”

Beloved, have you noticed that your spiritual fire has diminished? Do you have trouble praying? Do you find it difficult to read or study God’s Word? Are you spiritually weak or lethargic? You need fervor in the Spirit to not become vulnerable to the enemy.

I advise you to adhere to the advice I gave to the pastor above and your spiritual fire will be rekindled.

Remember this: Your life becomes a center of fire when you engage (or pray into) the Holy Spirit

2. Have a prayer life; be determined to engage yourself in prayer in the Spirit constantly.

THE SCRIPTURE: “… Hallowed be thy name….. Matthew 6:9

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Prayer is not made only for asking and supplication, but also for worship and submission..

Prayer has been established to be a vital tool of victory in the path of life and destiny. That’s why a Christian who doesn’t pray is a defeated Christian, and a praying Christian is a victorious Christian.

Now, it is one thing to know prayer as a powerful weapon of life, and it is another to know what prayer really is and how to pray effectively. Our Lord Jesus Christ, in Matthew 6:9-13, gave us the definitions of prayer or how to pray effectively.

In our study today, we will explore a form of effective prayer.

Matthew 6:9 says,

“…. Hallowed be thy name….. “

That is, prayer is the platform for the offering of thanksgiving, praise and worship to God. This type of prayer is called prayer of worship.

The following are important things to keep in mind about prayer in general:

1. Prayer is not only petition and supplication, it is also worship and submission..

Prayer is not made only in the name of petitions and supplications, but also in adoration and submission.

2. Prayer isn’t just a place to draw closer to God for just what He can do; it’s also a place to draw near to God for who He is.

In the place of prayer, we draw closer to God for who He is; we go to God in prayer to know more of Him.

Beloved, prayer of worship is very important if we are to pray effectively. Receive the grace to approach God with thanksgiving in Jesus Name..

Remember this: Prayer is not made only by petition and supplication, but also by adoration and submission..
