SEEDS OF DESTINY, DUNAMIS CHURCH DAILY DEVOTIONAL BY DR. PASTOR PAUL ENENCHE
DATE: WEDNESDAY 12TH NOVEMBER 2025
Dr Pastor Becky Enenche
TOPIC: THE PRODUCTS OF GENEROSITY
SCRIPTURE: Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a stool, and a candlestick: and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither. 2 KINGS 4:10
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your generosity can handle your calamity.
One of the greatest graces to possess in life is the grace of generosity. The Bible reveals that people of great destiny are usually generous people. If you go through the Scripture, you will see people like the widow of Zarephath, the Shunamite woman, the woman who broke the Alabaster Box, Lydia, Dorcas, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Job, etc. These were people of great destiny, and they were generous people.
It is confirmed that there can be no great destiny on earth without generosity. I have realized that generals in Scripture were generous, whether they were men or women. Generosity has also been discovered to be the cure for adversity.
From our anchor Scripture, we saw how the Shunamite woman exhibited the virtue of generosity and how that generosity paid off in the end.
Now, what are the products of generosity?
In our study today, we shall be looking at a few products of generosity from the life of the Shunamite woman.
1. Through generosity, the anointing located and met a critical need in her life that was no longer on her mind or even on her expectation list (2 Kings 4:14).
Elisha asked the woman, “What should I do for you? Should I speak to the king for you?” She answered, “No.” (2Kings 4:13 paraphrased). In other words, the barrenness was no longer on her mind. Or even if it was on her mind, she had given up hope on the matter; it was no longer a prayer request. That was why when the man of God said that she would embrace a son, she said, “Don’t lie to me.” (2Kings 4:16).
Beloved, there may be a need you are not aware of; maybe you have given up on praying for it; but there is a key that can make the anointing of the Holy Ghost locate that need. That key is called the key of generosity.
2. Through generosity, the reproach of barrenness was broken in her life (2 Kings 4:16-17).
Beloved, your generosity handles your insult and shame. Your generosity can handle your calamity.
I remember preaching in this line some time ago, and some women were told to reach out to orphans and impact them by meeting their needs.
A lady who was trusting God for the fruit of the womb decided to carry baby clothes to twin babies in orphanages. Afterwards, she testified in one of our church services about the delivery of her own twin babies. So, your generosity produces results.
The Bible says, whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap (Galatians 6:7). As you engage in this frequency of generosity, anything called a reproach in your life must die in the Name of Jesus.
3. Through generosity, the anointing answered for the future needs of the Shunamite (2 Kings 4:32-35). In Verse 20 of 2Kings Chapter 4, the child who came later died, but the same anointing that brought the child to the earth also brought him back to life. So, your generosity today can answer your needs tomorrow.
REMEMBER THIS: Your generosity can handle your calamity.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Make up your mind to live beyond yourself.
2. Determine to be kind and generous. Locate someone today and extend kindness to them.
PRAYER: Father, help me to be kind and generous. Deliver me from the spirit of selfishness and stinginess, Lord in Jesus’ Name.
