TOPIC: WE WRESTLE…

March Dr Paul and Becky Enenche
March Dr Paul and Becky Enenche

SCRIPTURE: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. EPHESIANS 6:12.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Faith failure is worse than heart failure.

Our anchor reveals that we all wrestle. This statement brings us to the knowledge of the fact that there is war. Whether we like it or not, we are involved in a fight, and there is no neutrality.

In this circumstance, two things are non-negotiable: battle consciousness and battle readiness. To be casual amid warfare is to become a casualty. This is not a time for playing church or doing Christianity as usual. There is an enemy who refuses to sleep.

It is important to note that the nature of this battle is spiritual. We are not fighting people made of flesh and blood, but powers, principalities, and spiritual forces without bodies.
In this war, there are things we fight for. So today, we shall be looking at some of the things that we fight for in this battle.

  1. Fight for your faith. The fight of the last days is first, a fight of faith. Jesus asked a frightening question in Luke 18:8: ….Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? The truth is, faith is under attack. Conviction is under pressure. What you once believed, declared, and stood for is what the enemy wants you to doubt or deny. And faith failure is worse than heart failure. There is no medical treatment for it. That is why the Bible says, Fight the good fight of faith. Your faith must be defended (1Timothy 6:12).

  2. Fight for light. Darkness is increasing, and gross darkness
covers the people. Violence, immorality, terror, cruelty, and lovelessness are escalating. But Scripture says, Arise, shine; for thy light is come (Isaiah 60:1). The assignment of darkness is to undermine and confront light—but our calling is to ensure that light remains in control wherever God has placed us.

  3. Fight for truth. We are living in an age of dangerous deception with many false apostles, false prophets, false teachers, and even false brethren. Error is no longer loud and distinct; it is subtle and appealing. The difference between truth and error is now so thin that spiritual discernment is required to survive. Falsehood exists to undermine the genuine move of God, divert kingdom traffic, and ultimately destroy souls. But the truth must be defended, no matter how unpopular it becomes (Matthew 7:15).

  4. Fight for righteousness. We live in a permissive generation where wrong appears successful and consequences seem delayed. Moses struck the rock instead of speaking to it; water still flowed, but God was displeased. Samson played with sin and power still flowed—until the end came. Reuben defiled his father’s bed, and nothing seemed to have happened—until his destiny was stripped away.
What is wrong is wrong, no matter who is doing it. The end always matters more than the moment.

Beloved, take heed to yourself; watch and pray so that your faith fails not.

Remember this: Faith failure is worse than heart failure.

ASSIGNMENT(S)
1. Stay spiritually alert; refuse casual Christianity.
2. Stand for truth even when error appears popular.
3. Choose righteousness, even when unrighteousness appears “profitable.”

PRAYER: Father, thank You for Your Word to me today. I receive grace to be an example of a believer in these last days and not to be a casualty, Lord, in Jesus’ Name
