TOPIC: CONTINUITY – A SECRET OF EXPLOSION, ADDITION AND INCREASE
SCRIPTURE: And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Acts 2:42
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Continuity is the way to explosion, increase and addition in life.
It has been established that one reason why God brings us into a new season or a new year is to maximize all the opportunities, privileges, blessings and favours of God that come with the new season.
Now, one way to maximize a new season is, identify what worked that needs to be worked on again and again.
There are things that succeeded last year. There are things that worked that must be worked on again and again.
1 Corinthians 15:58 says:
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
To be steadfast means to be consistent; it is to be on duty; it is to keep doing something.
I read some time ago that nothing succeeds like excess.
There is a connection between success and excess.
By excess, we mean excess of the right thing; that is, excess of prayer, worship, giving, evangelism, etc.
Acts 2:42 says:
And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Please note; And they continued …
And because they continued, what was their outcome?
Acts 2:47 answers the question for it says:
… And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
As they continued, there was an explosion or increase in the number of disciples.
So, continuity is the way to explosion, increase and addition in life. If anything must explode, someone must persist.
REMEMBER THIS: Continuity is the way to explosion, increase and addition.
ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Make up your mind to continue in what God has given to you to do.
2. Refuse to give up in life and in destiny. Keep pressing on.
PRAYER: Lord, I ask that you help me continue in doing what you have given me to do. I receive the grace to keep moving and never to give up, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
