🍒🌽SEEDS OF DESTINY, A DUNAMIS CHURCH DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE
BY DR. PST PAUL ENENCHE.

DATE:
FRIDAY, 20TH. MARCH, 2026.
TOPIC:
YOUR IDENTITY IN CHRIST.
SCRIPTURE:
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, that you should show forth the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
1 PETER 2:9
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Holiness does not reduce excellence. Integrity does not diminish prosperity. Fire and finance can coexist.
One of the greatest assets anyone can possess on earth is the understanding of their true identity. The worst form of ignorance is not ignorance of information, but the ignorance of who a person is. “Jesus I know, Paul I know, but who are you?”
(Acts 19:15).
Until the question as to who you are is answered, your authority is limited. The devil does not care who you are, as long as you don’t know who you are.
You can be a lion, provided you think you are a sheep, the enemy is comfortable. That is the mystery of slavery—disconnect a person from their roots, deny them the knowledge of who they are, and bondage becomes easy.
Identity governs destiny. The realization of identity equals the restoration of destiny.
So, in today’s study, we shall X-ray one of our true identities as children of God which is our identity in excellence or our destiny of excellence.
Excellence means being on top, being above, standing out, excelling, and taking charge. And Scripture reveals three roots of this excellence.
- Excellence by Creation
God created man in His image and gave him dominion. Man was created last, not because he was least, but because he was the crown of God’s creation. Everything he would need to rule over was already prepared before he arrived. Genesis 1:26–28. -
Excellence by Covenant
Every child of Abraham is either a nation or a king (Genesis 17:6).
Nations and kings do not occupy small spaces. Covenant people are not designed for microscopic existence; they are designed for the top. Covenant people are in a class of their own
(Exodus 19:5–6).
Whether one knows it or not does not change the truth; ignorance does not cancel inheritance. -
Excellence by Redemption
Beloved, you may be physically on earth, but spiritually and revelationally, you are up. Wherever you find yourself, refuse to accept any position other than the top. Redemption did not push us down; it lifted us up
(Matthew 5:14, Ephesians 2:4–6).
Holiness does not reduce excellence. Integrity does not diminish prosperity. Fire and finance can coexist.
NOW, HOW DO WE FUNCTION IN THIS DESTINY OF EXCELLENCE?
- A Life of Uprightness
Righteousness exalteth. (Proverbs14:34).
Character determines elevation. The eagle and the vulture differ by appetite. The lion and the pig differ by nature. What you tolerate determines how high you can rise. -
The Right Mindset (Proverbs 23:7)
Program your mind: Up is my place. I may not be there yet, but I am in motion. Right thinking fuels right movement. -
A Life of Faith
(Matthew 9:29).
Faith affects speech, movement, and action. You do not move beggarly when you know who you are. How you behave reveals what you believe.
Beloved, having a correct estimation of oneself is the balance—it is neither pride nor inferiority. Without God we are nothing, but with Him we are called to stand tall.
REMEMBER THIS:
Holiness does not reduce excellence. Integrity does not diminish prosperity. Fire and finance can coexist.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
1. Refuse thoughts, actions, and associations that reduce your value.
- Speak and act consistently with who God says you are.
PRAYER:
Father, I thank You for Your love and Your mercy towards me. I receive grace to live upright, so I can take my place in Your purpose. Help me, Lord, to become everything You designed me to be, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
