TOPIC:
CONSCIOUSNESS FOR A SUCCESSFUL DESTINY
SCRIPTURE: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…. Romans 12 1-2
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The realities in a person’s life are anchored on their mentality.
Both the Scripture and life experiences confirm that mentality is the mother of reality. Proverbs 23:7 says, As he thinketh in his heart, so is he…. The realities in a person’s life are anchored on their mentality. So, if you are not excited about your current reality or experiences in life, change your mentality, change your character.
Now, seeing that your mentality affects your reality, it is crucial to maintain the right mentality.
So, the question is, how does a person engage his mind to succeed in this world and in the world to come, and not end in regrets?
Maintain God consciousness
This involves existing with the consciousness that we are dealing with a God that is real and alive (Hebrews 11:6).
Beloved, your thought is as audible as your voice to God. Your secret is as exposed to God as your daylight action. No matter where you are hiding, you cannot hide it from God. Nobody may see you committing that sin, but God is watching you. So, God consciousness helps us to order our actions aright.
Maintain seed consciousness
This implies that life is a seed. Genesis 8:22 says, While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease
In Judges 9:1-57, Abimelech sowed a very dangerous seed in his quest for power and reaped an unimaginable harvest at the end.
You see, that is how life is. People may do things and think they will go free today, but tomorrow, the consequences of their deeds will catch up with them. Actions are seeds. While you are acting, you are seeding.
Maintain time consciousness
Time consciousness reminds us that we don’t have eternity to fulfil destiny. Psalm 90:12 says, So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. So, whatever you are doing, possess a sense of urgency. Approach every Divine instruction with a sense of urgency.
Eternity Consciousness.
Eternity consciousness implies that after everything is said and done, there is a God before whom we will all stand to give account of how we lived when time is over (Hebrews 9:27). Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 says, Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
Beloved, always bear in mind that living is seeding, and one day, everyone will come before God to give the account of how they lived their life on earth.
REMEMBER THIS: The realities in a person’s life are anchored on mentality.
