TOPIC: FOCUS BRINGS INSIGHT
SCRIPTURE: The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. Matthew 6:22.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: If your eyes be single, your whole body will be full of light. Seeds of Destiny 25 June 2022
Light has been confirmed to travel in the direction of focus.
Matthew 6:22, 23 says:
The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
If your eye is single, your body is lighted.
This means, thinking too many things at the same time while reading the Word of God denies you access to revelation, light and insight from the Word.
If your eye is single, and you go before God and say, “O Lord, show me Light from Your Word”, God will open your eyes to see.
But if your mind is distracted and you think of many things when reading the Scriptures, you may not see anything from the Word. Some people read the Bible while their television is on, phone is on, internet is on, friends are around, everything at the same time. They may not see anything from God’s Word. When you study the Word and you are distracted, you will be cut off from insight.
God is a Rewarder of the focused. Many people have lost many spiritual treasures to distraction. One phone call or a knock at the door that did not benefit your destiny can terminate an insight that is meant to change your life.
My counsel is, make up your mind to be focused when reading the Word of God.
REMEMBER THIS: If your eyes be single, your whole body will be full of light.

1. Refuse to be distracted while studying the Word of God.
2. Stay focused always so you can access light and insight from the Word of God.
PRAYER: Lord, I ask for the grace to be doggedly focused on Your Word. Deliver me from the spirit of distraction Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
