SEEDS OF DESTINY 1ST SEPTEMBER 2020 – THE POWER OF THOUGHT

 

The quality of your thought determines the quality of your results in life; the quality of your thoughts affects the quality of your destiny.

SCRIPTURE: Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Proverbs 4:23, 25.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The quality of your thought determines the quality of your results in life; the quality of your thoughts affects the quality of your destiny.

You are welcome to the month of September, the ninth month of the year 2020, our year of Supernatural Shift. I decree that you shall take total delivery of all that God has packaged for you in this month, in Jesus’ Name.

We live in a season where the minds of people are overwhelmed with different thoughts. There are diverse thoughts exerting diverse pressures on the minds of people. 

Thought is powerful, and in our study today, we shall consider the power of thought.

It is important to know that one of the powerful weapons of life is the weapon of “Thought”. Thought can make a life, and thought can also mar a life. Thought can raise a life, and thought can also ruin a life. Thought can assist someone to end in eternity in Heaven, and thought can also lead another person to end in eternity in Hell. Thought has brought the greatest blessing in the world, and thought has also brought the greatest damnation in the world. 

Let me give you one example: There was a man called Adolph Hitler who wanted to conquer and rule the whole world at a time. That ambition brought untold hardship and devastation to the people of the world. His ambition to rule the world only began as a thought. 

Now, the question is: how powerful is thought? We shall be seeing one power of thought in our study today, and that is: Thought Determines Results.

The Scriptures make it clear that out of the heart come forth the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23). Thought determines results in life (Proverbs 23:7).

So, the quality of your thought determines the quality of your results in life; the quality of your thought affects the quality of your destiny. No matter how hard you try, your life can never rise above the level of your thought. Where you find yourself in life is where your thought has permitted you to be. For example, if you go to some villages or rural areas and listen to the conversations of most villagers or rural dwellers, you can easily perceive that their thought is very low.  Their thought is primarily and majorly centred on survival, and that is why they live only in the survival mode. 

When you go to some other places like motor parks, and you listen to some people there talk, you will realise that their thought is so low that they are usually centred on mundane things. Only little things cross their minds. That is why their lives are stagnated at the motor parks. 

Your thought indeed determines your results; your thought determines your destiny. When you toy with your thought, you toy with your future; when you toy with your thought, you toy with your destiny. 

Beloved, determine to upgrade your thought in order to upgrade your destiny.

Remember this: The quality of your thought determines the quality of your results in life; the quality of your thought affects the quality of your destiny.

ASSIGNMENTS:

1. Guard your heart with all diligence.

2. Refuse to focus your thought on low and mundane things.

3. Upgrade your thought-life consistently by meditating on the Word of God.

PRAYER: O Lord, I surrender my heart to You afresh. Take over my mind, and let my thought be patterned after Yours, Lord in Jesus’ Name.
