DATE: TUESDAY, 17 OCTOBER, 2023.

SCRIPTURE: And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. MATTHEW 6:13.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Prayer is a platform for the abortion of the agenda of the enemy for our lives.

I came across the story of a teacher of the Word by the name Andrew Wommack. He said he was invited from the US to preach in Mexico. When it was a week to the program, he decided to do a cross country drive. And you know, you can drive for 21 or more hours within the US. You can also fly for 6 hours in the air within the US.

While driving, he said he was asking the Lord, “Lord should I go for this meeting?” He continued praying in tongues for as long as the drive lasted. He kept on driving, but the more he prayed, the less he had peace. So, he decided not to go on the journey. He called the people who invited him and told them that he wouldn’t be able to make it to the program.

But they told him, “No Sir, we have already booked the flight. Everything is ready for your coming”.

He said, “Please, I cannot come”.

Afterwards, something tragically striking happened: it was reported that the same flight he was booked on crashed and all the one hundred and twenty-three people on board died.

But Andrew Wommack through prayer had his life rescued and preserved. That is why prayer, especially praying in the Spirit is an asset.

Beloved, at the place of prayer, your life and destiny can be preserved. Prayer is a platform for the abortion of the agenda of the enemy for our lives.

The place of prayer is the place for the interruption and interception of satanic schemes and schedules. It is where victory is enforced over the multifaceted activities of the enemy. You know, when the enemy is arrested, there is rest and fulfillment in life (1Kings 5:4).

So, prayerfulness enhances the frustration of satanic agenda, and prayerlessness facilitates the flourishing of satanic agenda.

REMEMBER THIS: Prayer is a platform for the abortion of the agenda of the enemy for our lives.

ASSIGNMENTS:

1. Spend time with God at the place of prayer.

2. Always step into prayer with the heart of forgiveness.

3. In a few minutes, pray in the Spirit and see the collapse of the agenda of the enemy against your life.

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for Your mercy that has sustained my life till today. I declare the destruction of any satanic agenda against my life and destiny, Lord in Jesus’ Name.
