MESSAGE TOPIC: BEYOND BEING BLESSED (1&2) By: Dr Paul Enenche

SERVICE OBJECTIVE(S):
1. Understanding God’s purpose for the blessing of His people
2. Understanding the way of the Blessing

A Divine purpose of God of our being blessed is making us a blessing

THINGS TO NOTE:
1. There is something better than being blessed, there is something higher than being blessed, and that is being a blessing

  1. The blessing is not designed to be a stationary dam, the blessing is designed to be a flowing river (Gen. 12:2)

  2. Asking God to be blessed without the desire to be a blessing, is making requests that can’t be granted (Gen. 12:2)

  3. God’s blessing targets not just individuals but families, communities and nations (Gen. 12:2-3)

  4. A blessing that will not flow will not come, and if it comes it cannot last

  5. Far more crucial, vital and important than being blessed is becoming a blessing (Acts 20:35)

Your worth and value on earth is not by what you received, you worth and value with God is by what you release

  1. The blessing was never designed to be a destination, the blessing was designed for distribution (1 Tim. 6:17-18)

  2. Asking for things just for personal consumption is asking amiss (misfiring in prayer) (Jam. 4:3)

  3. God’s dealing with a person is designed to spread beyond that person unto his generation (Gen. 12:2; Isa. 9:8)

  4. A blessing that is contained by man cannot be sustained by God

A blessing that is contained by man cannot be sustained by God; if it will be sustained by God, it must be release by man

HOW DO YOU FUNCTION AS A BLESSING AFTER BEING BLESSED?
1. Being a blessing through building the house, cities and Kingdom of God in the earth (Matt. 6:33; Ps. 132:1-5; 1 Chron. 29:1-5; Isa. 45:1-3, 13)

  1. Being a blessing through offering livelihood to multitudes (mass employment provision) (Gen. 14:14; 26:12-14; 1 Kings 10:8)

You can trust God for money just to make jobs available for people and wipe out unemployment

  1. Being a blessing through attacking poverty, lack and scarcity in the lives of multitudes of the less privileged (Job 29:11-13, 15-17; Ps. 72:10-15)

  2. Being a blessing by being a voice for the Kingdom of God (Matt. 27:57-58; Eccl. 9:16; Esth. 4:16)

  3. Being a blessing through spreading the Kingdom of God in the earth (Zec. 1:17; Luke 8:1-3; 5:1-5)

  4. Being a blessing through being a shelter and a succour to many (1 Sam. 22:1-2; Gen. 50:21)

  5. Being a blessing through rising to the occasion in situations of urgency and crisis in the lives of the needy (2 Kings 4:1-4; Job 29:11-12)

  6. Being a blessing by influencing policies and galvanizing support in the favour of God’s Kingdom with the resources at your disposal (Isa. 45:1-3, 13; Ezra 6:3-4)

WHAT DO WE DO?
1. Change your thinking, review your mindset regarding the Blessing (Rom. 12:1-2; Prov. 23:7)

  1. Give expression to the love of God by being a blessing (Rom. 5:5; 1 John 4:8)

  2. Start from where you are with what you have (Gen. 13:14; Luke 16:10; Eccl. 11:4)

YOU ARE A BLESSING!

PRAYERS
1. Father, thank You for Your incredible manifestation of Your Presence and Power at the crusades of the past week to save, heal, deliver and revive lives. Be glorified Lord, in Jesus’ name – Ps. 103:1–5.

  1. Father, we ask that Your wall of fire around Your people in this house and Your Glory in the midst of us will shield Your people from every arrow of strange disease, destruction or death, Lord in Jesus’ Name – Zech. 2:5.

  2. Father, we bring every satanic reaction to Your acts in our midst both in the church and on the crusade grounds into defeat, Lord in Jesus’ Name – Luke 10:19.
