TOPIC: THE NECESSITY OF THE WORD
SCRIPTURE: I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one. 1 John 2:14
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It is not possible to be worded and be a weakling.
The Word of God is as vital to the life of the child of God as milk is to a new born baby.
In medicine, there is something called Protein Energy Malnutrition (PEM). It is a situation where a child is not well fed with adequate quantities of nutrients especially, protein. Some of the signs of PEM are poor weight gain, slow growth, irritability, apathy, decreased social responsiveness, anxiety and attention deficits. March 10 2022 Seeds of Destiny
So, what happens to a child of God spiritually is the same with what happens to that little child that is not well fed. As nutrition determines the physical destiny of a child, revelation of the Word determines the spiritual destiny of a Christian.
Now, one necessity of the Word of God is that the Word of God is strength for the child of God.
The Word of God is a strength builder in the child of God. The Word catalyses spiritual reactions that result in strength. It is not possible to be worded and be a weakling.
Psalms 103:20 says:
Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. March 10 2022 Seeds of Destiny
Angels draw strength from insight. They draw strength from released Word. So, if you see a child of God that is a word eater and a word talker, angels are active around him; his angels have heavy muscles. So, both man and angels draw strength from the Word. One angel can waste a whole nation if God says, GO (2 Kings 19:35).
Beloved, no matter how busy you are, never be too busy to study the Word.
Remember this: It is not possible to be worded and be a weakling.
