SCRIPTURE: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. ISAIAH 40:31.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: What you postpone today may punish you tomorrow.

God consistently confronts delay throughout Scripture. In Joshua 18:3, Joshua asked the children of Israel, How long are you slack to go and possess the land? In Deuteronomy 1:6, God Himself said, You have dwelt long enough on this mountain.

The same question is being asked today. How long would you remain on the same level spiritually, career-wise, financially or academically?

The truth is, destiny is never fulfilled by strolling casually through life. You cannot attract destiny helpers by walking casually. God is not a God of stagnation; He is a God of motion.

Now, we have seen that delay is not part of God’s program for His children. The big question is, why are believers experiencing delays? It is simply because certain secrets on how to eliminate delays and establish speed have not been discovered.

So, today we shall be unveiling the secrets for eliminating delays and establishing speed.

  1. Existence with a Sense of Urgency
Refuse procrastination. Delay is often tolerated before it is enforced. What you postpone today may punish you tomorrow. If it is worth doing at all, it is worth doing urgently. Destiny is confirmed in daily routines.

  2. Connection to the Hand of God
The Bible says that the Hand of the Lord was upon Elijah, and he ran… (1Kings 18:46). When the Hand of God rests upon a life, speed becomes inevitable. Prayer and worship bring the Hand of God upon a person 2Kings 3:15).

  3. Connection to the Strength of the Lord
Strength sponsors speed (Psalm 19:5). Weakness equals slow progress. Waiting on the Lord, knowing God deeply, walking in joy, embracing wisdom, and appearing before God renew spiritual strength.

  4. Possession and Revision of Vision
The Bible says, Write the vision… that he may run that readeth. it. (Habakkuk 2:2). Vision creates motion. Revisiting vision fuels passion. Passion births action, and action produces acceleration.

  5. Connection to Divine Grace and Favour
Grace is the oil of speed (1 Corinthians 15:9-10). Paul overtook his contemporaries by grace. Prayerfulness, humility, and selflessness attract the grace of God. Never compete with a man who carries grace, connect instead.

  6. Personal Determination Against Stagnation
If where you are does not reject you, reject it. Motion begins with a deliberate decision (Luke 15:18). What you don’t go against will not go away.

  7. Change of Approach
Sometimes, progress requires doing things differently. A turn aside precedes a turnaround (Exodus 3:4). Small changes can unlock massive results.

  8. Prophetic Push
A prophetic mantle accelerates destiny. It is divine assistance that overrides limitations. Many destinies are aborted not because of lack of effort, but because of lack of push (Acts 3:7).

Remember this: What you postpone today may punish you tomorrow.

ASSIGNMENT(S)
1. Write your vision for living, review it periodically and pursue it prayerfully and consistently.
2. Take steps in consonance with the Word and trust God for speed.
3. Resist the spell of delay.

PRAYER: Father, thank You for the power of your Word. I receive grace for urgency and speed. Every spell of stagnation around my life is broken, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
