MESSAGE TOPIC: THE DUTY OF MAN (1)

SERVICE OBJECTIVES:
1. Understanding the whole duty of Man
2. Understanding the fear of God
3. Understanding the benefits of the fear of God
It is when your duty is understood and undertaken that your destiny can be guaranteed
It is when you do what God wants you to do that you can become who God wants you to become
BASIC DUTIES OF MAN:
1. Fear God (Eccl. 12:13)
2. Keep His commandments (Eccl. 12:13)
WHAT IS THE FEAR OF GOD?
1. It means respect, honour and reverence for God (Heb. 12:28)
The fear of God is a heavy sense of respect and heavy weight of honour and reverence for your Maker
2. It means not taking God and His principles for granted (Gen. 42:18)
Those who are over familiar with God have no fear for Him
If your destiny must be glorious in God, you must be serious with God
3. It means existing in the consciousness of the judgmental side of God (Heb. 12:28-29; Rom. 11:22)
There is a neat healthy balance between the mercy of God and the judgement of God
4. It means maintaining a conscience that is void of offence towards God and towards man (Acts 24:16)
When you fear God, what you do towards God and your fellow man matter to you
When you fear God, you have a conscience that is alive and pricks you whenever you do wrong before God and man
ACTIONS THAT THE FEAR OF GOD PROVOKES:
1. To fear God is to keep His commandments (Eccl. 12:13)
When you fear God, keeping His commandments become your priority
2. To fear God is to depart from evil (Prov. 8:13)
You can’t fear God and be involved in the pain of others or be fraudulently involved in evil practices
3. To fear God is to reverence and worship Him (2Kings 17:36; Ps. 5:7, 96:9)
Your worship will flow out of your fear and reverence for God
The deeper your reverence of God, the deeper your worship
BENEFITS OF THE FEAR OF GOD:
1. Access to Divine wisdom (Job 28:28; Prov. 9:10)
The fear of God is the guarantee for wisdom
2. Access to unusual insight and Divine secrets (Ps. 25:12,14)
If you fear God, the Scripture opens to you; when your fear of God multiplies, your insight and clarity increases
3. Access to rest and satisfaction (Ps. 25:12-13)
The fear of God is deliverance from stress, pressure
4. Guarantee of godly and great offspring (Ps. 25:13, 112:1-2)
When you fear God, your children are guaranteed to be the stars of their generation
5. Access to Divine resources (Ps. 112:3; Job 1:1-3)
You have access to wealth and riches when you fear God
6. Access to direction in the midst of generational darkness (Ps. 112:4)
You will know what to do when you have the fear of God
7. Access to Divine life (Prov. 19:23)
Fear God well and the devil that can take you out before your time does not exist
8. Protection from the visitation of evil (Prov. 19:23)
When you fear God, no evil or harm is permitted to come near you
PRAYERS:
Father, I receive the baptism of the fear of God today. As I take this communion today as a fresh tonic for the fear of God; help me to fear You as my whole duty, Lord in Jesus’ Name
Father, do that new thing in my life, my family, in our Church (Dunamis) and our Nation (Nigeria). Do it Lord, in Jesus’ Name (Isa. 43:19-21)
Father, I ask for a complete change of order in my life, my family, in our Church (Dunamis) and our Nation (Nigeria). Do it Lord, in Jesus’ Name (Isa. 43:19-21)
Father, release Your sword against the destroyer of our lives, of the Church and our Nation. Release Your sword in this season and destroy the destroyers NOW, Lord in Jesus’ Name (Isa. 27:1)
Father, do in my life, my family and Your Church (Dunamis), our Nation what will glorify Your Name in this season. Do it Lord, in Jesus’ Name (Isa. 43:21)
COMMUNION FOCUS:
– This is your communion of a fresh baptism of the fear of God
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
– Whatever belong to you that the devil is hiding or covering, it is released in your hands tonight in Jesus’ Name
– Your children shall be useful, your generation shall be useful
– Fresh grace, help and baptism of the fear of God be released upon you in Jesus’ Name
– Your expectations shall not be cut short in Jesus’ Name
