TOPIC: THE LOVE WAY TO PEACE
Where there is love and unity in the spirit, peace is inescapable.
SCRIPTURE: And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. Colossians 3:14-15
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Where there is love and unity in the spirit, peace is inescapable.
Today, we shall continue to look at more conditions or demands to experiencing the peace of God.
1. Walking in love and unity
No one can be hateful and be at peace (Ephesians 4:1-3). You see, where there is love and unity in the spirit, peace is inescapable. Be charitable (Colossians 3:14-15); touch people’s lives. Do something for people. This will bring peace to you. Do not be quarrelsome. Put yourself in the shoes of others, and be considerate; it will bring you peace.
2. Walking in goodness and peacefulness.
You know, life is a seed; what a man sows, that he must reap (Galatians 6:7). If you are a good and peaceful person, and not a sower of the seed of discord, you will experience peace. If you are not a wicked person who delights in taking peace from others, you will experience the peace of God.
You know, when Jehu came to the house of Jezebel to deal with them. Someone asked him, “Jehu, is there peace?” And he said, “What have you to do with peace? As long as your mother, Jezebel, is filled with witchcraft, would there be peace?” (2 Kings 9:22).
Can anyone who does not give peace expect peace? Can anyone who snatches peace from other people expect peace? Can an armed robber have peace? Can a ritual killer have peace? Can a suicide bomber have peace? Can terrorists have peace? Can a wicked ruler have peace? No! Certainly No! This is because there is no peace for the wicked (Isaiah 57:21).
3. Walking in righteousness and the fear of God
Righteousness will always fall in love with peace. It is not possible for righteousness to be available and peace does not run towards it (Psalm 37:37, Psalm 85:10).
Righteousness and peace are inseparable (Isaiah 32:17). If righteousness has worked on you, the end of it is peace. Those who run in the way of evil shall never know the way of peace (Isaiah 59:7-8). Those who run in the way of iniquity will never know the way of peace.
Remember this: Where there is love and unity in the spirit, peace is inescapable.

2. Be good to everyone always.
3. Walk in righteousness and the fear of God.
PRAYER: I ask for the grace to walk in love and unity towards people. Help me to walk in righteousness, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
