TOPIC: ARE YOU A CHRISTIAN?

SCRIPTURE: And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. Acts 11:26

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The essence of Christianity is change or transformation into the nature of Christ.

You are welcome to the Month of April 2022. It is our Year of Overflowing Grace and Glory. This month shall deliver into your hands, previously withheld rewards in Jesus’ Name.

The Scripture makes it clear that Christianity is a lifestyle that is rooted in the person and teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 11:26). Seeds of Destiny April 1 2022

Jesus’ disciples were called Christians, which means ‘Christ-like’ or little ‘Christs’, first in Antioch according to our anchor Scripture.

The truth is, when the people saw the disciples of Jesus Christ, they noticed that they had undergone character transformation by associating with Jesus Christ. The lifestyle of the disciples reminded the people of Jesus Christ. So, they concluded that the disciples must be called Christians, that is – little Christs or Christlets.

This means, religious activities, socialization, miracles, blessings or breakthroughs are not the essence of Christianity. The essence of Christianity is change or transformation into the Nature of Christ. That means, if you are a Christian, your life must reflect the character of Christ just like the lives of the Apostles of old. You cannot claim to be a Christian even if you go to church, when your lifestyle is opposite that of Jesus Christ.

Beloved, the crucial question to ponder is, are you a Christian? Does the way you live define you as a Christian?

My counsel is, allow Jesus to manifest His character and lifestyle through your life. Receive the grace to be a Christian by lifestyle in Jesus Name. Seeds of Destiny April 1 2022

1. Refuse to be a nominal Christian.
2. Yield yourself to God to transform your life so you can be like Jesus Christ.

PRAYER: Lord, my greatest desire is to be like Jesus Christ. I ask that You transform my life to reflect the image of Jesus Christ, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
