TOPIC: THE TRAGEDY OF ATTACKING SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY
Refuse to rebel against spiritual authority; it is a highway to calamity and tragedy.
SCRIPTURE: And the anger of the Lord was kindled against them; and he departed. And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous. Numbers 12:9-10.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Refuse to rebel against spiritual authority; it is a highway to calamity and tragedy.
Sometime ago, God’s servant, Bishop David Oyedepo, who is my pastor, said that he was preaching in church one day, then a woman got angry, carried her Bible and walked out of the service. He made a particular statement in the message he was preaching and the woman said, “These people should know how to talk and not talk anyhow.” She walked out of the church talking carelessly. Before she could cross the road, an affliction landed on her tummy. She went from place to place for healing, but all to no avail, until she came to a pastor who is prophetic in operations. The pastor told her, “This affliction is from God. You spoke against a man of God. You reacted against a man of God. And that is the only man who can pray for your healing”. So, she had to return to God’s servant, Bishop Oyedepo and confessed her sins. That was how she was prayed for by the compassionate God’s servant and she was delivered.
Beloved, refuse to rebel against spiritual authority; rebellion against spiritual authority is a highway to calamity and tragedy.
Remember this: Refuse to rebel against spiritual authority; it is a highway to calamity and tragedy.

3. Pray for your spiritual authority.
PRAYER: O Lord, deliver me from the temptation of talking against the spiritual authority You have placed over my life. Help me to love and pray for my spiritual authority, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
